Persona
Meet Oli – The Curious Explorer
To design an engaging AR learning experience, we created a persona that represents our core user: Oliver, a tech-savvy and curious child who loves dinosaurs, space, and hands-on exploration. Traditional history books bore him, but he thrives when learning is interactive and fun. By understanding his pain points and motivations, WondaAR was shaped to bring educational stories to life—blending imagination with technology to spark his curiosity.

Customer Journey Map
Mapping Oli’s Learning Struggles
Understanding why traditional education doesn’t work for kids like Oliver—and how WondaAR can help
This journey map highlights the challenges Oli faces as he moves from curiosity to frustration while trying to learn about world landmarks. Despite his love for exploration, Oli finds books boring, videos too passive, and most educational tools lacking interactivity. WondaAR steps in at the point of abandonment—offering an immersive, gamified AR experience that transforms history from a dull subject into a fun adventure, designed to captivate curious young minds.

Competitiors Analysis
Learning from the AR Landscape
Positioning WondaAR by studying the strengths and gaps of existing players
This analysis uncovers how top AR book providers engage young learners. While most offer immersive visuals and storytelling, they often fall short on gamification, educational depth, or content flexibility. WondaAR aims to fill these gaps—blending strong narratives with cognitive learning principles, replayability, and tailored challenges for curious minds like Oliver’s.

HIgh fidelity prototype
Bridging Gaps with Purposeful Play
Building on insights from competitor analysis, the prototype focuses on delivering deeper engagement through narrative-driven AR experiences, enhanced educational value, and replayable interactions. It reimagines how children learn, explore, and emotionally connect through interactive storytelling.
Key Learnings
AR Alone Isn’t Enough
While competitors focus heavily on visuals and interactivity, educational depth and meaningful engagement often take a backseat—revealing a gap for cognitively rich, emotionally resonant content.
Story-Driven Play Increases Impact
Projects that combined narrative with interaction (e.g., The Dragon Brothers) stood out—showing that stories enhance immersion, comprehension, and emotional connection in young users.
There’s Space for Personalization & Replayability
Most products had limited replay value or catered to niche audiences. This emphasizes the opportunity to create flexible experiences that adapt to different learning styles and evolve with the child.
